We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break and a happy start to the new year! As we kick off 2026, we’re grateful for our families, students, staff, and community partners who make our district a place where students are supported, celebrated, and inspired every day. We look forward to a year full of learning, growth, and community connection.

Each January, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., whose birthday is January 15th. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a time to reflect on his courageous fight for equality, justice, and dignity for all, and to embrace the power of nonviolence and positive change.

This year, we observe the holiday on January 19th, an opportunity to bring his message into classrooms through activities that promote peace and understanding, and to serve our community in his name.

Online registration and the transfer window for the 2026–2027 school year open on Tuesday, January 13 at 9:00 a.m. Please visit the Student Enrollment page on the District website and select the appropriate drop-down menu on the right to register or submit a transfer application.

 

We are excited to introduce Student-Led Conferences for all 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students this spring.

In a student-led conference, students guide their families through their learning journey by sharing examples of their work, reflecting on progress toward goals, and identifying next steps. This process builds student ownership, confidence, and accountability, while giving families meaningful insight into their child’s growth.

When students explain their successes, challenges, and goals in their own words, it leads to deeper understanding and more meaningful conversations between students, families, and teachers.

Student-Led Conference Dates:

• Elementary (Grades 4–6): Week of March 23

• Middle School: Wednesday, March 25

Student-led conferences are also a meaningful way to bring our Learner Profile to life by highlighting reflection, goal-setting, and personal responsibility.

The Narita event, originally scheduled for January 30, has been rescheduled to March 7.
