Welcome to our Community Schools Newsletter!

I’m thrilled to connect with you and share the exciting initiatives underway at Allen Elementary and Belle Air Elementary—two vibrant Community Schools—as well as across the District. Through strong partnerships with community agencies, our schools provide integrated support that serves the whole child, aiming to improve student outcomes and foster a stronger, more connected community.

Here are just a few recent highlights:

1. Housing support: Over the past few months, our housing services program has provided more than $20,000 in financial assistance to families in need—including those affected by a recent fire.

2. Meal access: Each week, approximately 50 families—split between Allen and Belle Air—visit the school sites to pick up free meals. In addition, our Second Harvest meal drives have reached nearly 300 families.

3. Essential services: In March alone, over 45 families visited the Community Center for clothing, diapers, job support, and other essential services.

4. Job placement: We’re proud to share that six families have recently secured employment within the San Bruno Park School District, directly through our community support initiatives.

5. Medical Services: Students can now access free after-hours medical services to support their health and well-being. Sign up here to take advantage of this opportunity: https://getstarted.hazel.co/district/sbpsd

These are just a few of the many ways our Community Schools model is creating lasting impact. Thank you for being part of this journey with us!
